With the intention of demonstrating that circularity and recycling should constitute the starting point of any project committed to the future of the planet, and in direct analogy with the way Ecoalf uses recycled plastic to produce its garments, the project builds its interior materiality from the same principle: transforming waste into design. The project thus creates an immersive experience through its materiality, atmosphere, and complex geometries. Through the use of advanced 3D printing technology with 100% ocean-recycled plastic, an immersive landscape is generated
that evokes the melting of a glacier, transforming 3.3 tonnes of waste into organic geometries that shape the exhibition space. The 90 m² space is fully recyclable at the end of its life cycle,
and all architectural elements have been manufactured in Spain to reduce CO₂ emissions. The U-shaped layout originates from two pre-existing elements that anchor the distribution: the original position of the fitting rooms at the end of the central axis, and the storage area at the rear. These strategic decisions are based on the intention to minimize demolition and consequently reduce CO₂ emissions. The interior perimeter is conceived as a single continuous, fluid, and sculptural element. The curved walls are shaped to become the different display elements, sculpted to emulate the textures of a melting glacier. The gradual shades of blue and grey of the surface originate from the rear wall, printed in chromatic gradients that permeate the plastic. The flooring, made of Rubina grey marble, transforms the ground into ice; its low-reflective finish enhances the subtle variations of light emphasized by the carefully designed lighting on the organic and sinuous geometry of the plastic surface. The ceiling, finished in a deep matte black inspired by theatrical spaces, amplifies the sense of height and depth, evoking the infinity of the sky.
