This transformation of a 1900s apartment in central Madrid reimagines the interior by embracing openness and fluidity. The demolition of numerous partitions has liberated the layout, creating a continuous and dynamic spatial flow tailored to contemporary living.
The new design is anchored by two sculptural elements: a striking staircase that acts as both a functional and artistic centerpiece and a monolithic granite kitchen island that grounds the space with its material presence. These elements not only define the spatial organization but also introduce a tactile interplay of texture and form, seamlessly blending the historical character
of the apartment with a modern architectural language.
